Smetana:  Quartet No. 1 in E-minor (“From My Life”)

Bartok:  Quartet No. 3,  Sz. 85 (1927)

Beethoven:  Quartet in E-Minor, Op. 59, No. 2 (“Rassumovsky”)

 

“Wild card” for April:  you may substitute in the below as the 2nd work in either of the above programs:
 

Paul Ben-Haim:  String Quartet No. 1, Op 21 (1937)

(Note:  the themes of “Variations” and “Folk” will no longer apply.  But the Ben-Haim is a unique and interesting work!)

 

Please advise which program you would like to have performed for your concert, indicating where appropriate which alternate selection you have made.
