Program 1 – “A Journey Through Baroque Europe” 

Join Le Consort for a whirlwind tour through Italy, England, Germany, and France, illustrating the immense expressive range and creativity of Bach, Vivaldi, Corelli, Purcell, Rameau, and others.  The program features two magnificent settings of “Follia” - the era's most recognizable melody, and one which still resonates today.

Program 2 – “Hidden Treasures of the Baroque”

Never heard music by Dandrieu, Merula, Guignon, or Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre?  Not to worry, Le Consort will introduce you to these unjustly neglected Baroque masters, and more!  These inquisitive musicians passionately seek, perform, and record exceptional works by overlooked composers, delighting audiences with the thrill of new discoveries.  In this program you will encounter virtuosic Italians, melancholic Brits, elegant French, and also one of the first females to make a career as a composer!

Program 3 –“Trio Sonata Soiree”

The Trio Sonata was the most popular chamber music formation during the baroque era. This program will spotlight examples by famous composers such as Vivaldi and Purcell, alongside some rarely performed masters including the first female composer to establish a career in France, Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre. The musicians will illustrate key elements of the form, while creating vivid and modern interpretations of baroque chamber music.
